Our Team

Pastor Kevin Reid, a native of Boston Mass, is a 3rd generation minister and Lead Pastor of CityHeart Church in Jackson, MS. Pastor Kevin and his wife Andrea planted CityHeart in 2016, and have fostered a truly multicultural and multigenerational community, centered on faith in God, hope for the future, and love for the city.

He earned a bachelor’s of arts in Philosophy from Wheaton College in Norton, MA as well as a degree in Pastoral Ministry from Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has over 15 years of ministerial experience. Pastors Kevin and Andrea have been married for 13 years and are proud parents of their beautiful daughters Kristina and Rachel.

Something you may not know about Pastor Kevin: He played drums for over 20 years.

Pastor Andrea Reid serves CityHeart as the Executive Pastor. Pastor Andrea served alongside her husband, Kevin Reid, as Executive Pastor at Highland Chapel Church, before launching CityHeart Church in September 2016.

Andrea was very involved in church as a child and made a decision to serve God full time while in college. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Duke University in Durham, NC and a degree in Pastoral Ministries from Rhema Bible Training Center. Pastors Kevin and Andrea have been married over 13 years and are proud parents of their daughters Kristina and Rachel.

Something you may not know about Pastor Andrea: In high school, she was training to be a mezzo soprano at Julliard.

Pastor Joo (pronounced like “Joe”) Reynolds serves at CityHeart as the Connections Pastor. In this role, Pastor Joo ensures that all guests of CityHeart Church are given every opportunity to thrive, from attending Move Party to getting connected to a ministry.

Pastor Joo was born in Wonju City, South Korea and was raised in Jacksboro, TN. He and his wife, Stephanie, serve faithfully as pastors at CityHeart. He is the proud father of three young boys - Eli, Lucas, and Asher.  

Something you may not know about Pastor Joo: He coached rugby for 8 years and shot professional fireworks for 18 years.

Pastor Stephanie Reynolds serves as a Connections Pastor at CityHeart as well as the Director for the Experience Team. As a Connections Pastor, Stephanie ensures that all guests of CityHeart Church are given every opportunity to thrive, from attending Move Party to getting connected to a ministry. As Experience Director, Pastor Stephanie is responsible for making guests feel welcomed and comfortable, from interior design/decoration to setting out coffee for guests and members.

Pastor Stephanie is a first generation American of Korean-Egyptian descent and spent most of her life in Tennessee. She attended Walsh University in Canton, Ohio where she got her bachelor’s in Corporate Communications with a minor in Spanish. She and her husband Joo are proud parents to three boys - Eli, Lucas, and Asher.

Something you may not know about Pastor Stephanie: She can read, write, and speak Spanish and it’s better than her Korean- but she’s working on that too!

Larry Jackson serves alongside his wife as Pastor of our Prayer & CityGroups Teams. Larry is responsible for training prayer team members and CityGroup leaders as well hosting Saturday morning prayer and leading Sunday prayer teams. 

After high school, Larry Jackson served in the Army for 14 years. He currently is an Area Manager in the automotive industry.

Something you may not know about Pastor Larry: He absolutely loves Alabama. Roll Tide.

Willetta (“Etta”) Jackson serves alongside her husband as Pastor of our Prayer & CityGroups Teams. Etta is responsible for training prayer team members and CityGroup leaders as well hosting Saturday morning prayer and leading Sunday prayer teams.

After high school, Willetta Jackson attended college and obtained a LPN license.  She has been in the healthcare field for 32 years. She currently works as a Health System Specialist at the Veterans Health Administration.

Something you may not know about Pastor Etta: She used to be a professional caterer!

Pastor Jamar Dawson serves as an Associate Pastor and Lead for the Security and Host team. In his role, Pastor Jamar makes sure guests and visitors of CityHeart are protected and able to worship in a secure environment.

Pastor Jamar graduated from North Carolina State University with his bachelor of science in Aerospace Engineering and his masters in Business Administration at Mississippi State University. He started a project management and brand management company and is an avid outdoorsman. Jamar and his wife LaJuana have been faithful members of CityHeart Church since launch day in 2016. They are proud parents to twin girls, Aerolyn and Skylar, and baby boy, Kaden. 

Something you may not know about Pastor Jamar: He enjoys producing and uploading videos for his YouTube channel.

Mandy Bufkin is the Ministries Director. She oversees day-to-day operations throughout the church, event management, and provides oversight for various team members. She enjoys serving on the Connections Team and began attending CityHeart in June 2020.

Mandy is a Jackson native and Belhaven University alumnae where she received a bachelors of science in Arts Administration. Before serving at CityHeart, she worked for various nonprofit organizations across the state including Methodist Children’s Homes of Mississippi, Mississippi Craft Center, and Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she has served in multiple ministry roles for four churches in Ireland, ministering to all ages within the church and in the community. Mandy enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her husband, Craig, and sons, Ezra and Shepherd.

Something you may not know about Mandy: She first heard of CityHeart from her friend in Ireland! Mandy is overjoyed that God used a friend across the world to tell her about a church just ten minutes down the road.

Bethany Moore is from Grenada, Mississippi and serves as the Creative Curator at CityHeart. In her role, Bethany manages the look + feel of CityHeart. From managing the social media pages and graphics to decorations at events, Bethany ensures that every interaction with CityHeart matches our core values and brand identity. Bethany's role = vibes. 

Bethany earned her bachelor of arts in Communication and Public Relations from Mississippi College. Throughout her years in college, she served as a mentor with YoungLife Madison and a director for Winshape Camps for Communities. Bethany started as the CityHeart Students Director before focusing solely on the Creative Team. She serves in many different ministries such as worship, creative, and students since she started attending in 2020.

Something you may not know about Bethany: She speaks in accents more than her normal American one.

Bryce Daniels serves as the Student Director, managing the student leadership team and coordinating all student experiences with CityHeart Youth and CityHeart College ministry.

Bryce graduated from Mississippi College with his bachelor of science in Kinesiology and is currently working towards his Master of Divinity degree from The King’s Seminary in Southlake, Texas. He and his wife Tamera joined CityHeart in 2019, and since, he has served on the student lead team, host & security team, and led various CityGroups.

Something you may not know about Bryce: Pears are his favorite fruit, and he used to work at a tux shop.
