COVID Response from our Pastor
As of December 4, 2020
We are aware of the questions you may have in regards to the recommendations made by the MS Health Department and what CityHeart will do in regards to meeting in-person.
After reviewing the recommendations, reviewing our current safety procedures, and through prayer and counsel, we will continue in-person and online worship services, giving you the option to choose what is best for you and your family. Should the City of Jackson mandate churches stop meeting in-person, we will certainly abide by that mandate.
Your Faith is Essential
No matter how you choose to worship God, in-person or virtually, please continue to be faithful to worship. Don’t allow social distancing to distance you from the Body of Christ (the people of the church) or from Christ Himself, the only Person who can protect you, heal you, and provide for you. Your Faith in Jesus Christ is essential to you successfully navigating this season.
Continued Safety Measures
We will continue closely following and adhering to the safety guidelines set within the City of Jackson as well as taking precautions on our own to ensure the safety of those who choose to gather with us in-person.
-Limiting our attendance capacity to 40% of what is allowed and verifying through registration. (Click here to register for this weekend)
-Thermometer and health checks for everyone entering our facility.
-Requiring mask wearing for all staff, volunteers and attendees.
-Maintaining six feet of distance between seating in our auditorium.
-Providing hand sanitizer and masks throughout the auditorium, lobby, restroom and classrooms.
Continued Online Options
For those who do not feel comfortable attending or volunteering for our in-person service, we encourage you to take advantage of our live-stream or recorded services through Facebook and YouTube as well as participating in CityGroups via Zoom.
We love you and we look forward to worshipping with you virtually or in-person!
In His love,
We Give and Grow
We are devoted to generosity, following the pattern of God. Whether it’s our time, talent or treasure, we believe giving is an avenue for growth in our personal lives and within our City.
If you’re part of the community of CityHeart Church but are worshipping online, we encourage you to continue in your faithfulness to give so that we can continue reaching our community for Christ. You can setup automated giving easily so that no matter where we meet (online or in person), the ministry can continue to reach others for Christ. Click here to give online. COVID-19 Recommendations and Precautions
COVID-19 is a disease that is spread when someone comes into close contact with an infected person and then touches their eyes or mouth. Symptoms, which are similar to the flu, can appear 2 to 14 days after exposure to the disease. You can find more information on the CDC’s website at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.
Please take precautions and this situation seriously:
- Reduce physical contact with others while out and about and embrace a culture of expressing love to others without touch. (Try Elbow Bumps and Air-Fives)
- Wash your hands frequently with anti-bacterial soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
- Be sure to use and bring hand sanitizer for your family to use at all times.
- If you think you are sick, please isolate yourself and notify your primary care physician immediately.
'For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.' - 2 Timothy 1:7 NIV
Thanks be to God for His power and strength at work within us.
He graces us with the ability to love and be generous towards one another. And He’s given us access to His unlimited wisdom and promised us peace of mind. Be vigilant and cautious during this time. But also choose prayer over panic and faith over fear. This is not a time to be fearful, but a time to have vigilance balanced with faith and love. We’re praying that this virus will not only run its course quickly, but can also be used as a means to turn the hearts of those far away from God back to our Savior Jesus Christ.
